Global Victoria, on behalf of the Victorian Government, will lead a trade mission to CommunicAsia in Singapore followed by a one-day business program to Jakarta, Indonesia.

Southeast Asia is a key market for Victorian technology companies generating significant outcomes.
CommunicAsia is a significant annual ICT exhibition and conference in Southeast Asia with more than 1100 exhibitors and 30,000 industry professionals from around 50 countries expected to attend in 2019. The exhibition provides an important opportunity for Victoria to promote its ICT capabilities to this geographically close and increasingly technologically sophisticated regional market.
What types of businesses should attend?
Businesses with technology solutions in areas such as Smart Cities, Connected Devices/ Vehicles, IoT, Photonics, Telecom Solutions and 5G.
Global Victoria will host a Victorian pavilion at CommunicAsia with a Victorian Government stand to act as a referral point for Victorian companies.
Victorian digital technology businesses are invited to participate in CommunicAsia as either exhibitors on the Victorian pavilion or as individuals, using the pavilion as their base to network and conduct meetings.
Delegates interested in exploring the potential market opportunities in Indonesia will fly to Jakarta on Thursday 20 June for a one-day business program involving presentations, a networking lunch, and site visits on Friday 21 June.
Global Victoria will cover:
- the cost of the Victorian pavilion exhibition space – including company branding and promotional collateral
- Victorian Government produced networking receptions for Victorian mission participants and their key stakeholders in the region in both Singapore and Jakarta
- site visits
- some transfers
- the Jakarta business program.
Other events planned in Singapore are:
- reciprocal visits between Victorian delegates and other international pavilions
- a welcome dinner (at delegate’s own expense)
What's not included?
Delegates are required to fund their airfares, hotel accommodation and on the ground expenses such as surface travel and meals.
Eligibility, terms and conditions
Applications will be subject to an approval process and participation will be at the discretion of the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Resources (DJPR).
