Why Hannover Messe?
Germany has long been considered a global benchmark for world-leading industry and technology.
And as the world enters the fourth industrial revolution it is critical that industry understands the implications and opportunities and how to get on the journey to Industry 4.0.
At the centre of this is one of the world’s most important and largest industrial automation and digitalisation trade fairs, Hannover Messe, where the world comes together to showcase the latest technology developments and best practice examples.
And the largest exhibitor at Hannover Messe is Siemens – the automation, digitalisation and electrification powerhouse.
For several years, Siemens Australia has been conducting an important delegation to Germany during the week of Hannover Messe, providing a "money can’t buy" experience with access to reference sites, factories, meetings, events and of course, Hannover Messe.
This year the delegation run by Siemens includes partnership with AiGroup in their capacity as the host of Australia’s official Industry 4.0 Forum, as well as the German-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
To support the growth of the Victorian manufacturing sector, this year the Victorian Government, through the Global Discovery Exchange initiative, will provide financial support for several Victorian-based manufacturers to send a senior representative as part of this Siemens led delegation.
The Victorian Government will cover the costs of attending as a member of the delegation, which is being administered by the German-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This includes the on-ground experience in Germany including meals, transport and accommodation.
What's not included?
The Victoria Government will not pay for international airfares and any expenditure that falls outside of the official program.
