Inspired by the global possibilities of 2020
In 2020, Global Victoria partnered with the United Kingdom Department of International Trade (UK DIT) to deliver a LTW 2020 virtual mission, leveraging the event as a platform to create a program of introductions and tailored events to maximise opportunities for Victorian businesses.
The mission involved over 37 Victorian companies who took part in a range of activities, including bespoke business matching programs, webinars and key networking events.
The business outcomes from companies that participated in these activities has been considerable. That's why we'll be partnering again with UK DIT to continue to make global possibilites a reality for Victorian busineses participating in the 2021 program.
The LTW 2021 VTM program will provide you with opportunities to:
- build market insights
- explore market opportunities
- expand your networks
- identify potential partners and clients.
Category 1: Business Matching and Virtual Conference Program
A maximum of 20 Victorian technology companies will be selected to participate in a targeted business matching program of meetings facilitated by a service provider.
While all applications will be considered, we will prioritise scaleup companies that:
- have clear goals for doing business in the UK
- have been operating for at least 3 years
- haven’t previously participated in this LTW business matching program
- are growing at 20 per cent or more in either employment or turnover year-on-year for at least two years
- employ at least 8 FTEs
- fit within the four streams identified above.
Category 2: Virtual Conference Program only
We're also seeking applications from a maximum of 20 Victorian technology companies to participate in the virtual conference program which Global Victoria and the United Kingdom Department of International Trade (UK DIT) are organising.
Companies that have participated in Global Victoria's LTW trade mission program in previous years are eligible to apply for this category.
Companies will be prioritised for selection who can demonstrate:
- clear goals for doing business in the UK
- they fit within the four streams identified above.
Please note that places may be limited for some events.
LTW is Europe’s largest festival of live events taking place across London, providing one of the best platforms in Europe for Victorian companies to explore business collaboration and investment opportunities with some of the world's largest tech companies and innovative startups.
In 2020, LTW went virtual hosting 700 sessions across 11 days with over 20,000 attendees.
Global Victoria partnered with UK DIT to deliver a LTW2020 VTM, leveraging LTW as a platform to create a program of introductions and tailored events to maximise Victorian business opportunities. The 2020 VTM involved over 37 Victorian companies participating in a range of activities, including business matching, webinars and networking events.
The business outcomes from companies that participated in these activities has been considerable, and as a direct result from the feedback received, Global Victoria is partnering again with UKDIT to facilitate a similar VTM to the 2021 LTW.
