SportNXT Inbound Virtual Trade Mission March to April 2022
Global Victoria and its trade and investment offices, with the support of the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN), are coordinating a virtual inbound delegation of international sport executives to coincide with the SportNXT conference in Melbourne.
Export-ready Victorian sport and related companies are invited to apply to participate in our SportNXT inbound virtual trade mission and be connected with this international delegation.

Held in conjunction with the SportNXT Conference, this virtual mission will comprise a business matching program for all participants and introductory session for international delegates.
Global Victoria will facilitate an online business matching program, connecting participating Victorian companies with relevant international delegates and delivered via a dedicated virtual platform.
Once a core program of meetings has been published, Victorian companies and international delegates will also be able to request and coordinate additional meetings directly via the virtual platform.
To support the mission, international delegates will participate in a one-hour online introductory session showcasing Victorian sports industry capabilities.

ASTN provides leadership in the commercialisation, development, and promotion of Australian-inspired sports technologies. Established in 2012, ASTN is a world-leading pioneer with over 500 organisations in its national network of Australian sportstech businesses.
What types of businesses should apply?
Applications are sought from those companies/organisations with solutions and services, including (but not limited to) the following activities:
- Sport technology
- Higher education (including universities)
- Sport entertainment
- Sport media
- Sport marketing
- Stadium and public space design and construction
- Sport administration
- Event planning & management
- Facilities management
- Sport science
- Sport medicine
Targeting up to twenty-five (25) Victorian companies, applicants will be selected based on of factors including:
- export readiness
- turnover
- incorporations status
- the relevance of solutions and services offered
- capacity to service export markets.
We are accepting a maximum of two participants per company.

The timing of the mission in relation to the SportNXT conference, allows participating companies to undertake international business development activity with a global audience and still engage in the full SportNXT conference program if they choose to.

- Pre-mission briefing to familiarise with the virtual platform and delivery of the business matching program.
- Bespoke business matching program, with meetings scheduled with international sport decision makers on the virtual platform.
- Ability to utilise the virtual platform to schedule additional meetings with international delegates based on calendar availability.
- Company profile featured on the virtual platform.
- Ability to attend Introductory Sessions for International Delegates.
- Promotion in Victorian Government marketing materials, including social media.
Post-mission
- An evaluation form will be distributed to all participating companies.
- Assistance from Global Victoria and relevant Victorian Government Trade & Investment Offices with business follow-up.
What's not included?
- Participation does not cover costs to access or attend the SportNXT conference.
