Interested exporters are invited to join two upcoming events to learn more about investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Two seminars be will held in Melbourne on Thursday 23 March (8.30am at 121 Exhibition Street and 6.00pm at Novotel, Glen Waverly) to assist Victorian companies interested in being part of Sri Lanka's growth.

Speakers will include The Hon Niroshan Perera, State Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, Sri Lanka and His Excellency Somasundaram Skandakumar, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Australia.

Topics will cover opportunities in a range of areas, including the Sri Lanka capital market and real estate, by senior representatives from:

  • Fitch Ratings Lanka Ltd.
  • Colombo Stock Exchange
  • Securities and Exchange of Sri Lanka
  • Shangri-La
  • Altair
  • Central Bank of Sri Lanka

The Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave will also be held from 30 May – 1 June at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The Conclave will focus on sectors including agriculture, education, export manufacturing, infrastructure and shipping/logistics.

Businesses wanting to learn more about guidelines for investing in Sri Lanka, as well as these looking for introductions to potential business partners, are encouraged to attend.
