The Skilled and Business Migration Program is pleased to launch its first bilingual site liveinmelbourne.vic.gov.au, now featuring comprehensive new content in Mandarin.

The new bilingual site reinforces our global strategy to connect Victoria to the world by attracting investment and talent through migration

The Live in Melbourne website is the gateway for skilled, investor and business migrants to apply for Victorian visa nomination, and get information on living, working and doing business in Melbourne – one of the world’s most liveable cities.

Through the Skilled and Business Migration Program, the Victorian Government offers visa nomination for a range of business and investor visas. More than 5,000 skilled, investor and business migrants gain visa nomination in Victoria annually and China is one of the top five source countries for migrants nominated by Victoria.

The new bilingual site reinforces our global strategy to connect Victoria to the world by attracting investment and talent through migration and adds to the services provided to our Chinese international audience.

The new Mandarin website features detailed information on:

  • Business and investor visas
  • Doing business in Victoria
  • Victoria’s main industries and regions
  • Melbourne’s lifestyle and living areas
  • Migrating to Melbourne and relocation assistance
  • Education, healthcare and housing
  • The cost of living in Melbourne compared to China (Shanghai)

Five case studies feature migrants from China who have successfully moved to Melbourne to start a business or study. Watch their video stories to learn why they love living in Victoria.
