In the lead up to the July 2019 Australian British Financial Services Catalyst in the UK and as part of the Chamber’s ongoing focus on fintech, the Australian Briish Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) expert panel will focus on present and future challenges to this sector and cover fraud, data privacy, financial crime, compliance, regulation and risk and how to deal with security breaches.

Cyber security poses one of the greatest challenges of the 21st Century, for companies both domestic and global, with the recognition that security breaches test even the most vigilant of organisations.

With the recent cyber breach of the Federal Parliament's computer network and the threat of similar attacks on the rise, experts are pleading with Australian businesses to take the threat seriously or risk losing the vital trust of customers and their ongoing business.

The rapid proliferation of fintech companies and the diverse range of services they offer, has brought increased risk to these online platforms vulnerable to attacks.
