Hugh Killen

Hugh Killen was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in February 2018. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer in a consulting capacity assisting AACo’s operations and finance functions.

Hugh is a highly experienced senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in global financial markets and has worked in London, New York and Sydney.

Before joining AACo, Hugh spent 15 years at Westpac Institutional Bank. He held several senior executive roles which included managing Westpac Banking Corporation’s North American business throughout the global financial crisis, and finally as the Managing Director of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities.

Hugh has also served as a board member of the Association for Financial Markets Global Foreign Exchange Division, the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) Australian Foreign Exchange Committee. Hugh has represented Australia internationally as the RBA appointed member of the BIS Working Group developing the Global Code of Conduct for foreign exchange markets.

Hugh is an alumni of the Kings School, Parramatta and Harvard Business School and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Hugh has a lifelong association with agriculture having being raised on pastoral properties in northern NSW and south-west Queensland, and has retained strong personal involvement in the industry through private investments in farming.

Mr Ken Sloan

Mr Ken Sloan joined Monash University as the inaugural Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Enterprise) in 2017. 

As Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Enterprise), Ken is responsible for providing University-wide leadership and strategic support for industry partnerships, commercialisation, industry engagement, precinct development, innovation and student entrepreneurship, employability and work experience to provide a focus for the University’s achievement of the Enterprise goal. 

Ken has had extensive international experience in business development and commercialisation, university administration and leadership. Prior to joining Monash University, Ken held roles as the Chief Operating Officer at the University of Warwick, as a Business Development Director with International Services Company SERCO, and has served as a Special Adviser to the Stephen A. Schwarzman Education Foundation to support the inaugural semester of the Schwarzman Scholars Program based at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Ken continues to serve as part of the selection team for Schwarzman Scholars.

Justin previously Founded PacWealth Capital; a pioneering $4Bn asset advisory firm in the South Pacific servicing sovereign wealth funds and superannuation groups. Justin has also served as a Director and Co-Head of Retail Client Business in Australia for BlackRock, the world’s largest Asset Manager.
Justin earned BA in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and holds an MBA with distinction from Oxford University where he was the OBA Scholar.
