About the Expo
World Expo 2020 Dubai is the first world exhibition to be held in the Middle East. The Expo 2020 theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” reflects the drive for economic diversification and a shift towards more knowledge-based economies.
Victoria is the only Platinum Sponsor of the Australia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The Australia Pavilion is located in the Mobility district of the Expo and will showcase Australia’s culture, innovation and capabilities.
Opportunities for trade and investment on a global scale
The Victorian Government is planning a sustained program of events at World Expo Dubai 2020. This will include trade symposiums, conferences, virtual marketplaces, networking sessions, business matching, cultural activities and product / talent showcases.
Areas of focus will include:
- food and beverage
- health and wellbeing
While the focus of many of these activities for Victorian businesses will be virtual, Expo 2020 Dubai still represents opportunities for trade and investment on a global scale.
A global experience
The Expo will be a truly global experience.
The Victorian Government will take advantage of the Expo’s location and unique visitor profile to maximise commercial opportunities for Victoria.
It is the first Expo to take place in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia regions, providing access to an area with a collective population of nearly 3 billion and a GDP of more than USD$7.4 trillion.
Being involved will provide high brand exposure to top 10 markets visiting Dubai, India, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, China, Russia, Oman, United States, Germany, Pakistan and Iran.
