Global Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from export-ready Victorian beauty, wellbeing and personal care companies and organisations interested in participating the 2021 China International Beauty Expo (CIBE) from 6 to 8 May 2021.

Please be aware the CIBE organiser has indicated this mission is planning to go ahead but is predicated by the Australian and Chinese Government’s respective overseas travel advice and guidelines in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19).

At this stage, Global Victoria is seeking EOIs and recommend that participating companies are represented on the mission by either its China based staff or its partners in China.

Why should you attend?

The China International Beauty Expo (CIBE) is one of the largest online platforms and beauty and wellbeing expo in China. Established in 1989 and formerly known as the Canton Beauty Fair, CIBE has been successfully connecting beauty industries from both national and international suppliers, buyers and industry professionals together.

CIBE is the entry point for international business to business (B2B) and B2B then to customer (B2B2C) beauty and health brands entering China.

As a cross-cultural beauty platform, CIBE uses its 31 years of business loyalty in China to offer social media services. In 2019, CIBE Shanghai has attracted 2200 brands from 18 countries and regions to distribute their products through both online and offline retail, social commerce retail channels, such as TikTok, JD.com, Tmall, Meitu, and Meituan. More than 500,000 professional buyers visited 2019 CIBE Shanghai.

What's included?

Delegates participating in the program will be given the opportunity to work with a professional service provider appointed by Global Victoria to attend and exhibit their products at the pavilion pre-booked by Global Victoria and meet with professional buyers from all over China attending the Expo, in particular from Shanghai and nearby regions.

The Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) offices in China will host a networking event for company representatives to meet with key decision makers and influencers as part of the show in Shanghai.

What's not included?

Mission participants will be responsible to pay for their own:

  • flights, accommodation and travel insurance
  • public liability insurance
  • surface travel
  • meals
  • freighting product samples to the CIBE

Eligibility, terms and conditions

Applications will be subject to an approval process and participation will be at the discretion of the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR).
