Provenance Wine logo

Balance, purity and place form the overarching philosophy that drives this wine making duo's decisions.

Owners and winemakers Scott Ireland and Sam Vogel are obsessed with making wines that showcase their origin.

The health of their vineyard soils allows them to grow grapes that truly represent their vineyard provenance. Where necessary, Scott and Sam use compost as a part of their "light touch" vineyard farming.

Wine by Sam logo

Wine by Sam is relatively young, but the story starts in 1968 when Sam’s father planted the first vines in the cool Strathbogie Ranges of Central Victoria.

Wine by Sam was started by husband and wife team Sam Plunkett and Bron Dunwoodie in 2012.

Sam loves doing things the old-fashioned way but is also a fan of modern winemaking technology too, with the aim to make the very best wines that honour the quality of the fruit.

The winery makes a little over one million bottles of wine each year, and sends it around the world.
