Applicable to All Food and Beverage Trade Show Program Applicants

Eligibility checklist:

You will need to meet the following criteria:

  • be headquartered in Victoria or be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to Victoria's economy and jobs.be financially viable and have a sound case for doing business in Australia.
  • be selling goods that are of Victorian origin or demonstrate that significant value add has taken place in Victoria.
  • be represented on the Trade Show Program by an employee or officer of the company.

The Victorian Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (the department) reserves the right to reject any application without being obliged to discuss the reasons for doing so. Any decision made by the department will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1. Approval of Applicants

1.1 An Applicant will be notified in writing by the department if the Applicant has been approved by the department to participate in the Trade Show Program (an Approved Applicant).

1.2 All Approved Applicants will be provided a detailed Trade Show Program by the department and given a minimum of 3 business days to confirm their acceptance. Failure to confirm by the deadline may result in being placed on the waitlist.

1.3 All Approved Applicants will be required to enter into an agreement with the organisers of Fine Food Australia (Diversified Communications Australia Pty Ltd) which will include other terms and conditions.  Approved Applicant must comply with any such terms and conditions at all times.

1.4 All Approved Applicants must participate in all events included as part of the Trade Show Program agenda unless discussed and agreed in advance with the department (Global Victoria Program Lead).

1.5 Neither an Approved Applicant nor its employees or agents shall by reason of its participation in the Trade Show Program be an agent of or in the service or employment of the State of Victoria.

2. Conduct and Cooperation of Participants

2.1 All Approved Applicants employees or agents nominated as representatives for this Trade Show Program (Program Participants) must attend a relevant pre-show briefing as notified by the department.

2.2 All Program Participants must conduct themselves in a professional manner having regard to the spirit and intent of the Trade Show Program. The Approved Applicant will be responsible for the welfare and conduct of its Program Participants at all times.

2.3 If the conduct of any Program Participant is perceived as posing a significant risk to the health, safety or reputation of other Program Participants, the department or any person in attendance at the Trade Show, the department reserves the right to immediately remove the Participant and suspend their participation in the remainder of the Trade Show Program in which case the department will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever sustained as a result. This may impact the Approved Applicant and Program Participants’ participation in future Trade Show Programs.

3. Acknowledgment of Risk & Responsibility

3.1 All Approved Applicants accept full responsibility for all of the business and organisational outcomes arising from their participation. The department will not be held responsible for the commercial endeavours of any party that participates in the Trade Show Program. The department accepts no duty of care and disclaims all liability in connection with an Applicant’s participation in any Trade Show Program or other departmental program.

3.1.1 An Applicant’s engagement with any third party, referred to them by the department, is at their own risk and the department accepts no duty of care and disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all liability in connection with this engagement (including but not limited to any services that may be provided by any third party to the Applicant). An Applicant should make its own inquiries as to the appropriateness and suitability of any engagement with any third party.

4. Trade Show Program Evaluation

4.1 If requested by the department, all Approved Applicants and Program Participants agree to participate in a formal evaluation of the Trade Show Program conducted by the department or its agents immediately after the Trade Show Program concludes and again at twelve (12) and 24 months post Trade Show Program.

4.2 If evaluation forms are not received, the department reserves the right to exclude the Applicant from participation in future Trade Show Programs.

4.3 Company data is collected for aggregate statistical reporting purposes only and, subject to clause 5 and 6, specific data related to individual Program Applicants or Program Participants is not intended for publication or release except with their written permission.

4.4 If requested by the department, all Program Participants agree to participate in a formal evaluation of the department trade programs conducted by the department or its agents.

5. Promotion & Acknowledgment

5.1 The department reserves the right to publicise the benefits accruing to the Approved Applicant arising from the Trade Show Program.

5.2 If requested by the department, an Approved Applicant must acknowledge the support provided by the department in any relevant publicity undertaken by the Approved Applicant.

6. Trade Show Program Inclusions/Exclusions

6.1 All Applicants should refer to individual Trade Show Program for a comprehensive list of Trade Show Program inclusions and exclusions.

All costs outside the Trade Show Program agenda are the responsibility of the Program Participant.  These costs include but are not limited to:

Domestic travel, including flights, to and from the Trade Show Program events

Accommodation

Meals (Unless at events included as part of the Trade Show Program agenda)

Taxes, insurance, tips etc

7. Privacy Collection Notice

7.1 The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is collecting your personal information in order to assess applications, including Program eligibility, and to administer the Program. This includes conducting program auditing, monitoring and evaluation.

7.2 Personal information supplied may also be used by DJSIR to contact Applicants or nominees to facilitate networking opportunities with other businesses.

7.3 DJSIR may share your personal information with other Program participants and businesses on the Program.

7.4 Applicants providing personal information of third parties must only do so with the consent of the third party.
