Global Victoria's Trade and Investment (VGTI) network in China put a focus on promoting Victorian food and beverage products in December 2022.

The selection of events below shows the breadth of Victorian products on offer in China and the outstanding platform available to Victorian exporters through Vic House, the Victorian Government’s permanent trade showcase, and the Study Melbourne Hub, both located in Shanghai.

Victorian showcase

On 8 December, the VGTI Shanghai hosted a Food and Beverage trade showcase at the Study Melbourne Hub in Shanghai. The event provided trade facilitation opportunities for companies which had registered for the SIAL China trade show, which was postponed due to COVID-related reasons.

The China trade team hosted 22 Victorian food and beverage exporters at the Study Hub and delivered a targeted showcase and business matching event. Over 50 prospective Chinese buyers attended and obtained a first-hand experience of Victorian products, in addition to having the opportunity to talk directly with Victorian business representatives.

Companies represented included Brown Brothers, Kadac, Chobani, Bulla, Laurent Bakery and Remedy Drinks.Tasting Victorian food and beverages at Vic House in Shanghai
