Founded in 1986 by Managing Director, Dan Drum, Hardcat is a world leader in asset and evidence management with significant global experience and wholly-owned subsidiaries in the USA, UK and Africa.
The company's impressive customer list includes BAE Systems, Boeing, 3M, Shell, Sydney Opera House, Airbus, Siemens, Honda, Toyota, CAT, Ford, SA Country Fire Service and Victorian Police.
Hardcat has extended its global reach to India via a new partnership with leading Indian data centre service provider, Yotta of the Hiranandani Group.
With the rapid advent of smartphone technology in India over the past four years, solutions from Victoria are more readily adapted to and sold into the Indian market than ever before.
“India has an incredible reputation for being a leading software solutions developer, but there is still a market for high quality proven solutions. Victorian software and technology companies actually have a strong record in India,” said Victoria's Commissioner to South Asia, Michelle Wade.
How did Global Victoria help Hardcat establish in India?
Global Victoria's trade and investment (VGTI) office in Bengaluru assisted Hardcat with market entry advice and introductions to their network of potential end user companies in India to test the appetite for Hardcat solution. The office also provided introductions to experienced advisors on company formation and commercial contracts.
What's different about India to other markets you have worked in?
The calibre of people combined with sheer size and scale makes India a highly unique market. There are over 28 States and Territories and the approach has to be tailormade taking several factors into account.
Hardcat have a globally proven product in Lebosi, but they cannot take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Additionally in India, data represents an asset of inestimable value. Data sovereignty mandates that data resides in India, and the regulations around it form an essential tenet of data privacy and security. Yotta offers highest level of data security, and Hardcat’s asset management software ensures all the data security products are maintained under the right governance.
The support has not ended with the launch into India, and the VGTI team continues to make Hardcat and their partners in Yotta, aware of opportunities to introduce and promote the Hardcat Lebosi system.
