About the mission

Delivered with the support of Global Victoria and its newly formed Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) office in Paris, the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN) European trade mission will commence in Paris with a Shaping the Future of Sport workshop, networking reception and business matching supported by Business France.

Mission participants will then attend Global Sports Week which is part Europe’s prominent tech event Viva Technology Paris, followed by targeted site visits to key Parisian organisations and venues. Australian government agencies will also conduct a Doing Business in France workshop.

The mission will then travel to Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich), followed by stops in Germany (Frankfurt) and Belgium (Brussels) engaging with key rights holders, International Sports Federations, local sportstech ecosystems and site visits to key venues and facilities.

What types of businesses should apply?

ASTN is seeking expressions of interest from Victorian Sportstech and innovation companies that have identified the EU as a priority market, are able to travel to Europe or be represented by an in-market representative, are market ready and can dedicate sufficient resource to the market.

This mission will be particularly suited to sportstech companies with products or services in the high-performance and business of sport verticals.

Support from Global Victoria

Global Victoria will participate in the mission and provide additional on-ground support to Victorian companies. Global Victoria and our team in Europe will be hosting a showcase networking event for mission participants that will also include our London Tech Week delegation during the Paris leg of the trip.

As part of our ongoing support of the Victorian sport innovation sector, Global Victoria will offset the ASTN Service Fee for successful Victorian applicants.

It is important to note this mission is led by the ASTN and applicants must adhere to all ASTN terms and conditions for selection and participation.
