Showcasing Victoria’s Big Data & AI excellence

Victoria’s reputation as Australia’s leading Tech hub with strong capability in Big Data and AI provides Victorian Tech businesses with strong potential to develop trade opportunities across Southeast Asia.

The trade mission will offer Victorian companies opportunity to showcase their capabilities at Big Data & AI World Asia 2025 (8-9 October) within the Victorian Government’s exhibition space. Each company will have its own dedicated display area. Additional mission activity includes a market briefing, site visit, networking, and business introduction program.

Global Victoria will also seek opportunities (where they align) for Victorian companies to participate in elements of the Austrade Southeast Asia Business Exchange (SEABX) Singapore Tech Week program.

Big Data and Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia is experiencing a rapid technological surge, with data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) leading the transformation. As businesses focus on innovation and efficiency, the integration of AI-powered solutions has become a necessity. AI is anticipated to provide between a 10-18% uplift in GDP across the region by 2030.

Singapore is a prominent hub and gateway for the data analytics industry in Asia, driven by government initiatives like the Smart Nation program and strong investments in AI.

The country's strategic location, robust infrastructure, and supportive policies provides significant opportunities for Victorian companies specialising in data analytics and big data.

Please note:  

We anticipate arranging an informal get together for any participants in Singapore on the evening of Monday 6 October, before formal programming commences on Tuesday 7 October.

We do not anticipate scheduling any mission activity on Friday 10 October however, we can assist with on-ground support to those who remain in market.

What's not included?

It is the delegate's responsibility to manage and fund the following:

  • Airfares
  • Visas
  • Accommodation
  • Transport costs, such as taxis, Ubers, and public transport
  • Costs incurred outside of trade mission activities, such as meals and external activities
