Why Basel, why BIO-Europe Spring?
Located in northwestern Switzerland on the river Rhine, Basel is considered a world leader in pharmaceutical development due to its high concentration of R&D facilities and over 700 life science companies, including Roche and Novartis.
Bordering Germany and France, over 32,000 life science employees work in and around Basel.
The city has one of the largest life science clusters in Europe alongside Berlin-Brandenburg in Germany, the Golden Triangle in the UK, and Medicon Valley in Denmark and Sweden.
BIO-Europe Spring attracts a wide range of business leaders, including senior executives of leading biotech companies, business development teams from large and midsize pharmaceutical companies, investors and other industry experts.

The trade mission offers participants:
- a conference ticket
- business matching activities for approved businesses
- a site visit program
- multiple networking activities.
What's not included?
Global Victoria won't cover costs associated with:
- airfares
- visas
- accommodation
- costs incurred outside of trade mission activities, such as meals and external activities
- transport costs, such as taxis, Ubers and public transport.
