Why BIO KOREA?

BIO KOREA is one of Asia's most influential biotech events and one of the largest partnering conferences in the global biotech industry. Since 2006, it's grown into a premier international forum connecting pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology companies from around the world.

South Korea is a market worth paying attention to. It's the 10th largest pharmaceutical market in the world, home to major players like Samsung Biologics, Celltrion and SK Bioscience, and the Korean government is investing heavily in building a world-leading bio-health sector, from R&D through to licensing, manufacturing and marketing.

South Korea is also increasingly active in global drug development, with a sharp focus on areas of unmet medical need. For Victorian life sciences companies, that's a real opportunity.

Why you should apply?

Victoria and South Korea are a strong match. Our strengths in genetics and genomics, neuroscience, regenerative and personalised medicine, innovative therapeutics and diagnostics, and clinical trials align directly with South Korea's life sciences priorities.

The Victorian Government has run trade missions to BIO KOREA for six years running, building real relationships that have led to clinical trial collaborations, medical research partnerships and growing awareness of the Victorian life sciences ecosystem.
