The largest event in India offering a unique platform to showcase the latest trends in the education industry.
Global Victoria is seeking applications from export-ready Victorian EdTech companies to apply for its upcoming trade mission to DIDAC India 2025.
Why you should attend
DIDAC is the largest exhibition focused on education technologies and services, including online learning.
The exhibition attracts educators, school administrators, distributors and channel partners, and attendees from across India and neighbouring countries, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh.
Why India?
📈 India presents a promising opportunity for companies in the edtech sector due to its rapidly growing economy and large population of over 1.3 billion people. The country has one of the youngest populations in the world with a median age of 28 years, and a growing middle class that is increasingly seeking quality education and upskilling opportunities.
🏛️The Indian Government is also pushing for greater digital adoption in the education sector, as evidenced by initiatives such as the National Education Policy 2020 which aims to transform the sector using technology.
🏫 India has a large and diverse education sector, with over 1.5 million schools, 50,000 colleges and universities, and a vast network of vocational training institutions. This provides a range of opportunities for edtech companies to provide innovative solutions to address the diverse needs of the education sector in India.
💻 In recent years, there has been a surge in demand for online education and upskilling solutions, particularly in the wake of the pandemic. This has created a significant market opportunity for edtech companies in India. According to a report by Google, the online education market in India is expected to reach $10 billion by 2025, up from $1.96 billion in 2021.
💡Edtech in India before the pandemic was mostly business applications re-labelled for education use, such as resource management systems, content repositories, and databases. Over the last three years, a large amount of venture funding directed toward edtech and some rapid experimentation with digital tools have contributed enormously to the maturity of the sector.
🧑💻 Developments in Al and in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality devices and applications have moved the sector forward significantly. A new generation of Digital Learning Environments has emerged creating an appetite to continuously improve the efficiency of teaching and learning systems.
