Global Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest to participate in a mining equipment, technology and services (METS) trade mission to Exponor 2026 in Antofagasta, Chile from 8-11 June 2026.
Successful applicants will gain access to the Exponor trade show and a tailored business program which includes access to the Victorian Government’s pavilion, networking and pitching opportunities, branding and business development support.
What types of businesses should apply?
Innovative Victorian METS companies are encouraged to apply. Previous trade missions to South America have included companies offering the following services and products:
- Novel technologies for advanced mineral exploration.
- Advanced machinery and equipment for mineral extraction and processing.
- Technologies and equipment to improve safety, environmental performance, water management and energy efficiency.
- Consulting/engineering services.
Why should you attend?
Building on the momentum of recent trade missions to Expomin and Perumin, the Exponor trade mission provides an opportunity for Victorian METS to visit a world-leading copper region and meet with key mining decision-makers. Major companies such as BHP, Anglo American, Teck, Codelco, Sierra Gorda and Antofagasta Minerals will be exhibiting and engaging with suppliers at Exponor.
As the world’s top copper producer and the second lithium producer globally, Chile is at the forefront of the critical minerals industry. The Antofagasta region is Chile’s mining capital and concentrates over 15% of the world’s total copper output. Mine operators in Chile are seeking innovative solutions to tackle the key challenges facing the industry, including:
- optimising exploration
- enhancing water efficiency
- improving tailings stabilisation and management
- deploying automation and remote operations solutions
- increasing productivity in falling ore grades
- ensuring the highest sustainability and safety standards for their workers and communities.
Victorian METS are well-positioned to provide solutions to the Chilean mining industry. Global Victoria’s METS Trade Mission to Exponor offers a valuable opportunity to gain market knowledge, build relationships and identify commercial leads.
