Why should you attend?

This year marks 21 years of Global Victoria leading trade missions to BIO. Our team from Melbourne HQ and the U.S. have strong in-market connections and ties with BIO, and Boston's robust life sciences ecosystem.

Business undertaken during and following Global Victoria's annual trade mission has been extensive. In fact, the U.S. is the biggest market for business growth and development of Victoria's life science industry.

BIO is the largest global event for biotechnology. It attracts over 14,000 biotechnology and pharma leaders from across the world for one week of intensive networking. Based in Boston, it's expected this year's convention will attract significant numbers due to the location, timing and ease of travel.

Why Boston?

Boston, Massachusetts, is a global leader in the healthcare and life sciences industry. This includes everything from research and development to world-renowned healthcare corporations.

Boston joins four other cities, Cambridge, Quincy and Somerville to form part of a Life Sciences Corridor and makes up the world’s largest life sciences cluster, comprised of over 450 companies.

Boston is a centre of scientific research, with over 46,000 life science employees and over 21,000 students. The area has a cluster of universities and colleges, including MIT and Harvard – making Boston a world leader in higher education.
