Unlock opportunities in the USA with our tailored trade program for Victorian cybersecurity companies.
Global Victoria and its USA Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) offices are delivering a trade program supporting Victorian cybersecurity companies with USA market engagement.
This program is in support of Mission 3 ‘a vibrant cyber economy’ of Victoria’s Cyber Strategy 2021. Mission 3 seeks to position Victoria as a global industry leader in cyber by fostering a skilled workforce and innovative local sector that enhances cyber resilience across all industries.
What types of businesses should apply?
Applications have now closed.
Applications are sought from Victorian cybersecurity companies who are:
- actively expanding into the US in the next 6-12 months
- can travel to the US or be represented by an in-market representative
- are export-capable and export-ready
- have customers and partners in the US identified and/or some market traction
Why you should apply
This program provides a significant and flexible platform for engagement with the US and presents strong opportunities to promote your company's capability, generate business, and gather business intelligence.
The US market consistently ranks as a top export market for Victorian cybersecurity companies. Cybersecurity spending continues to rise in the US, including within government, with Federal civilian agencies set to receive $12.33 billion in fiscal year 2025 following a recent White House budget request, a 10% increase on the previous financial year.
What's included?
Global Victoria will provide the following at no cost to each participating company:
Conference attendance
One (1) pass to a conference/trade event in the US market.
Companies are to choose the event most relevant to their current market priorities from a list of major trade shows outlined in the application form. Global Victoria will purchase the pass on behalf of the company.
You may nominate an alternative conference for consideration, however, Global Victoria reserves the final decision on its inclusion.
All nominated conferences must occur before 30 August 2025.
Market Entry / Business Matching
Access to an external USA-based industry consultant to provide market entry and business development assistance, including:
- 1:1 assessment of your company's needs and objectives
- securing a minimum of three (3) high-quality business matching meetings
Where possible, meetings will be coordinated to coincide with your attendance in-market. Alternatively, they will be held virtually.
Association Membership
Global Victoria will work with participating companies to provide:
- A one (1) year membership to a relevant industry or geography-based USA association.
In the application form, companies may optionally nominate US-based associations they're interested in exploring for membership.
