Bringing the world to your door

This May, Asia's top fresh produce buyers are coming to you. The Victorian Horticulture Inbound Trade Mission (VICHIB26) runs 18–22 May 2026 across Victoria's key growing regions.

This is your chance to meet over 30 premium importers from Japan, Korea, Greater China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore, face to face, on home ground.

Delivered by Global Victoria — in partnership with Apple and Pear Australia (APAL), Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA), Citrus Australia, Summerfruit Australia (SAL), Cherry Growers Australia, Victorian Cherry Growers, Horticulture Innovation Australia and AusVeg — VICHIB26 is a five-day program of site visits, business matching and networking, built to help Victorian growers and exporters deepen existing relationships and turn introductions into lasting trade partnerships.

Mission details

VICHIB26 takes buyers on a five-day journey through the heart of Victorian horticulture, with each stop tailored to the produce and exporters that call that region home.

Route: Mildura (via Robinvale) → Swan Hill (via Cobram) → Shepparton → Greater Melbourne

Each stop features industry briefings, farm and orchard visits, packing warehouse tours, business matching sessions and networking events, all designed to maximise your time with pre-eminent importers from premium markets.

What types of businesses should apply?

If you grow, pack or export fresh horticultural produce in Victoria, VICHIB26 is for you.

The mission is especially valuable if you're already selling into Asian markets, because staying visible and connected to your buyers matters. These markets are competitive, and relationships need fostering. Having buyers come to you, to your region, to see your operation firsthand, is a rare opportunity to strengthen the connections and keep your business front of mind.

If you're newer to export and looking to break into Japan, Korea, Greater China or Southeast Asia, this is also an ideal starting point with 30+ serious importers in one place, in one week, right here in Victoria.

We're keen to hear from producers and exporters across all fresh horticultural categories, including:

  • Apples and pears
  • Citrus
  • Table grapes
  • Cherries and summerfruit
  • Vegetables
  • Other fresh produce

Why you should apply?

Leading international buyers are visiting key grower regions.

Over 30 importers and distributors from Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore are travelling to Victoria specifically to source and connect. You don't need a trade show floor or a long-haul flight.

Already exporting to Asia? Then this is an opportunity for you to protect and grow your relationships in competitive markets. VICHIB26 is your chance to strengthen the connections that keep Victorian produce front of mind when buyers are making decisions.

Ready to break into new markets? Recent trade gains for Australian apples into Asia have opened real doors. VICHIB26 puts you in front of the buyers who can help you walk through them.

Want buyers to see what you're made of? The program is built around site visits to orchards, farms and packing facilities. Let our regions, your team and your produce do the talking.

Want meetings that actually go somewhere? Every business matching conversation at VICHIB26 is carefully matched, so you're talking to buyers who are genuinely interested in your product. This is where deals start to take shape. To get a seat at the table — and your company in front of the importers you want to meet — your first step is to apply.
