Jay Meek is General Manager of the Trade Diversification Taskforce at Austrade, and formerly its General Manager of Strategy and Design. Before joining Austrade, Jay served as Deputy Secretary of Trade Victoria, overseeing 23 international offices and more than 200 staff. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Agriculture from the University of Adelaide.
Michael Byrne AM — Former International Freight Coordinator General
Michael Byrne brings a 30-year career in executive leadership across logistics, supply chain, retail and property in Australia and internationally. His previous roles include Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Toll Group Holdings, and CEO of Coates Hire, Linfox and Westgate Holdings. Michael led the Government's International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) through the COVID pandemic and currently serves on the boards of NSW Ports, Peel Ports UK, Sydney Airport, CBH Group and the National Intermodal Corporation.
Nicholas Watts — Director, ICAL International Customs and Logistics
Nicholas Watts is a Director of ICAL, where he helps clients solve practical logistics challenges and grow their international trade. With more than 22 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain, Nicholas has deep expertise in global supply chains, customs processes and logistics operations. He is a finalist in the Young Professional of the Year awards presented by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Australia.
