About Dr. Megan Robertson

A photo of Dr. Megan RobertsonDr Megan Robertson is an alumna of the University of Melbourne where she completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She is the current Director of Research at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and works as a Senior Intensivist at Epworth HealthCare (Richmond and Freemasons).

Megan is on the boards of BioMedical Research Victoria, the Caroline Chisolm Centre for Health Ethics and FearLess (PTSD-ANZ), the Biodevices Advisory Board at the ARC Training Centre in Biodevices at Swinburne University, and the Tuckwell Scholarship Selection Panel at ANU.

Megan also works with national bodies including the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare, AusBioTech, and the National Health and Medical Research Council. Previously, she held positions as the Director of Professional Affairs, CICM, as the Executive Director of Research at Epworth HealthCare, and as the Co-Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Epworth Freemasons.

Dominic Wall is the Chief Scientific Officer at Cell Therapies.

Dominic has a very long history in HealthTech. In 1999, he developed the cell therapy program at the famous Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) in Melbourne and was one of the founders of Cell Therapies in 2003, leading it to becoming the first TGA licensed service in this field in Australia.

Not only is Dominic the Chief Scientific Officer at Cell Therapies, but he has a joint appointment as the Executive Director for Business Ventures at Peter Mac. He also provides executive oversight to the national Centre of Excellence in Cellular Immunotherapy which was established in 2019 with an $80 million contribution from the Commonwealth Government of Australia.

Rebecca Lim is the Director of Scientific Affairs at Prescient Therapeutics.

With over 10 years of experience in allogeneic cell therapies for regenerative medicine, Rebecca initiated several first-in-human clinical trials for urgent unmet medical needs including stroke and Crohn’s disease.

Previously, Rebecca served as the Scientific Director for the Cell Therapies Platform at the Hudson Institute. She still holds an academic position at the Hudson Institute and is an adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University.

Silvio Tiziani is the CEO of the Centre for Commercialisation of Regenerative Medicine or CCRM Australia.

He has extensive experience in private and public organisations and as CEO of CCRM Australia is placed at the centre of the local regenerative medicine ecosystem, including government, private funding organisations, academic research centres, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies.
