Global Victoria is a key partner in Austrade's TradeStart program aimed at supercharging the state's food and fibre exports.

From January 2025 to June 2027, this collaboration provides enhanced 1:1 support to Victorian businesses seeking to enter and expand in priority international markets.

Five regionally based Trade Managers delivering TradeStart services, provides agrifood and beverage businesses in all regions of Victoria with personalised, one-on-one export guidance. Services include sharing export advice and insights, export capability building, and connecting export-ready businesses to global markets.

These services are available to Victorian businesses located within Barwon South West, Grampians, Loddon Mallee, Hume, and Gippsland regions, alongside ongoing support for the Greater Melbourne area.

• TradeStart: Austrade’s key partnership model offering tailored 1:1 services to Australian exporters, providing advice on trade, markets, and export challenges. Delivered in collaboration with state and territory governments, such as Global Victoria (the trade facilitation and promotion arm of the Victorian State Government).

• Strengthening statewide support: Global Victoria offers TradeStart services across regional Victoria, with five Trade Managers located in Barwon South West, Grampians, Loddon Mallee, Hume, Gippsland including the Mornington Peninsula. These experts assist new and established exporters in expanding into priority international markets. This initiative complements the Greater Melbourne team, further strengthening support for businesses.

• Personalised support for Victorian-based businesses: Trade Managers offer an initial consultation to assess your export-readiness and specific global needs. They provide tailored advice and, if needed, connect you to global markets through Austrade’s international offices and Victoria’s network of 23 Trade and Investment Offices (VGTIs).

• Greater global network access: This initiative strengthens Victoria’s global network by facilitating introductions where appropriate to both Austrade and VGTIs, further enhancing the state’s international support offering.

• Victorian Government commitment: This partnership with Austrade underscores the Victorian Government’s dedication to supporting world-class food and fibre producers and driving economic growth throughout the state.
