Celebrating Victoria's 2026 Export Award Winners
The winners of the 47th Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEA) have been announced, recognising the Victorian businesses achieving outstanding success in international markets.
From advanced manufacturing and digital technologies to education, health and agribusiness, this year's winners reflect the breadth and strength of Victoria's export capability. Their success creates jobs across the state, deepens Victoria's trade relationships, and reinforces its reputation as a trusted and innovative partner to the world.
Victorian Exporter of the Year
Ego Pharmaceuticals
Ego Pharmaceuticals has been named the 2026 Victorian Exporter of the Year, the highest honour of the evening.
From a Melbourne laundry to more than 20 international markets, Ego’s story is one of scientific excellence, long-term thinking and sustained global growth, with almost half of its revenue now coming from exports.
Founded in 1953 by chemist Gerald Oppenheim and his wife Rae, a nurse, Ego Pharmaceuticals develops science-backed dermatological skincare products, built on clinical research, advanced manufacturing and a long-term commitment to quality. Ego has earned the confidence of healthcare professionals and consumers alike in markets across the Middle East, Asia and the United Kingdom.
At the heart of its portfolio is QV Skincare, created in response to a request from Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Hospital more than 50 years ago and now one of Australia’s most recognised skincare brands. Alongside trusted brands including DermAid, Aqium and MOOV, it showcases the breadth of Ego’s expertise across skin health, therapeutic care and consumer healthcare.
The company’s international success is a measure of global trust earned by a Victorian family’s vision and commitment for over 70 years.

As CEO and Managing Director of Dimerix, she has led the company’s transformation from a locally focused biotechnology company into a globally recognised organisation, developing treatments for patients with unmet medical needs around the world.
