Be a part of Melbourne Brunch Festival 2023
Our team from Southeast Asia and Melbourne HQ are excited to announce they’re in the early stages of planning for the 2023 Melbourne Brunch Festival (MBF).
About MBF
The inaugural 2022 Melbourne Brunch Festival (MBF) launched in Singapore last July, showcasing over 25 Victorian food and beverage brands.
In the lead up to the month-long festival, our team from the Singapore office worked closely with the region’s top chefs to curate a selection of delicious brunch menus that were served at 11 of Singapore’s most popular cafes and restaurants.
Over 5000 Singaporeans sampled the brunch menus and the festival garnered significant media attention.
Thanks to the success of the festival, MBF 2023 will be bigger and better, promoting a wider range of Victorian products and including other key markets in the region such as Vietnam and Malaysia.
Exploring Global Possibilities in the Philippines
Global Victoria is committed to deepening the trade and investment links with our Southeast Asian neighbours.
Last August, our Commissioner to Southeast Asia, Rebecca Hall attended the Pacific Business Mission to the Philippines to explore export opportunities for Victorian businesses.
Opportunities identified at the mission were within the food and agriculture space (including agtech), education and skills, sports technology, renewable energy, and beauty and wellness (entry level products).
Deepening relationships with regional governments and businesses
Victoria welcomed the Indonesian B20 delegation to Melbourne ahead of the final B20 Summit, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia on 13-14 November 2022.
The B20 marks the continued strengthening of business and governmental relations between Victoria and Indonesia and follows a visit to Melbourne by Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in April this year.
Victorian businesses can build on this and participate in the final B20 Summit in Indonesia, while also contributing to long-term B20 Indonesia Legacy Programs, such as the Green Transition, Equitable Healthcare and Female Empowerment
