First Press Coffee founders Jimmy Elias and Hamish Walmsley launched their business in 2013, discovering that cold dripping water through single origin coffee beans had wide appeal as a ‘better for you’ product.

From production and logistics to sales and marketing First Press Coffee is about hard work, good fun and amazing coffee.

Global Victoria encountered award-winning Melbourne-based company, First Press Coffee in 2018 when they decided to go global and take their innovative cold drip coffee beverages to the world.

Their innovative product faced challenges in many overseas markets not used to First Press' new concept in coffee preparation and consumption.

Global Victoria helped overcome this challenge by supporting the Victorian company on trade missions to key export markets.

Beginning with a mission to the SIAL Shanghai Trade show in 2018, First Press also attended Gulfood, Dubai in 2019, on the Victorian Government stand in the beverage section of the tradeshow.

First Press Coffee encountered demand for their product, but with the challenge of supplying a new product to a region very familiar with coffee, but with more traditional consumption.

Global Victoria has helped with this through introductions to key customers in markets where adoption of new products is sought by consumers. In recent times, virtual trade shows such as our VietnamXVictoria (V2) Virtual Trade Mission has assisted First Press with introductions to new customers.

First Press is now distributed through the Middle East and ASEAN region with a strong demand for their plant based milk Iced Coffee range. Global Victoria are keen to support First Press Coffee as they continue to break into new markets demanding innovative and different products.
