Global Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Victorian food and beverage companies to participate in the 2023 China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held in Shanghai, China from 5 - 10 November 2023.

What types of businesses should register an expression of interest?
Victorian food and beverage companies exporting to, planning on exporting to, and having the capacity to travel to CIIE in person or be represented by in-market teams or distribution partners are encouraged to register an EOI.
Why should you attend?
China is Victoria’s largest export destination for food and beverage products.
The CIIE organisers will facilitate participation in terms of customs clearance, inspection and quarantine, provide long-term one-stop transaction services online and offline, and strengthen protection of intellectual property rights to safeguard the rights and interests of merchants.
Attendance at China’s flagship trade event with the support of Victorian Government will:
- help garner your reputation in the region
- provide opportunities to meet numerous key players and buyers in China’s food and beverage space
- offer strong support from Victorian Government and a wider Australian presence at the event
- present an opportunity to reacquaint yourself with long-term networks, and establish new connections in one of the world's most lucrative markets with realistic prospects of firming up existing and securing new trade opportunities.
What's included?
Companies attending the trade mission will receive:
- market insights
- pre-departure briefings
- support from the Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) office in Shanghai China - connecting companies to China's key buyers and business leaders through the Vic House Pavilion
- opportunity to exhibit at CIIE on the Victorian Government pavilion – Global Victoria will cover stand costs.
What's not included?
It will be the responsibility of trade mission participants to manage and pay for:
- flights
- accommodation
- travel insurance
- public liability insurance
- pre-departure (Australia) and in-market (within China) travel
- meals
- freighting product samples to the CIIE
- on-ground transport costs, including private and public transport (Uber, taxis, trains etc)
